Description

I usually write a few lines about what the paintings or sculptures mean to me, I like it and maybe it will light something positive in your creative mind.

I am simply besotted with my beloved penguins and I was over the moon when they finally wanted to be part of my artistic creations. The ceramic sculptures are growing in numbers and I can’t seem to stop, because they are forcing me to create more and more. I adore every second of the process, to run my hands across the smooth surface of the clay, to shape and bring each little character to life.

I have thought a lot about what the penguins are trying to tell me. I have such strong feelings for these little darlings that I struggle to find the words to describe them, but I think they have come to me with a task, a mission to spread love to the world around me and remind my fellow humans to be grateful and thankful for other people.

Most wild penguins have a tough, hard life, where survival is their main priority and they have to focus on finding food for the day. They have to swim and dive in the most horrific storms, they might end up hurt, and yet they fight on and keep on bringing food home to their babies. This I find incredibly fascinating and despite their harsh reality, they still have a relaxed, cool and humble appearance. They really touch me with their unique, charming, personal and truly wonderful approach to life. They live so many years together, close to one another, warm each other and spread love all around. Together they are strong – just like we are.
